After 28 years or More Well Known Businesses in Gulf Breeze Close up!

2 Well Known Businesses Closed
in Gulf Breeze

2 Established and well-known businesses on Hwy 98 in Gulf Breeze have closed.

After 28 years the popular Gulf Breeze Flea Market has closed.  The Western side of the parcel will be the location for Santa Rosa County's newest South end High School.

Many of the vendors are moving to the newer location at the old Iron Gargoyle Antique Mall about 3 miles west of the Flea Market, but will have to wait to move in as the Owners are renovating the interior.  The plan is to open up before the end of the year.

Other vendors have decided to either move to another flea market or just call it quits altogether.

If you're looking for your favorite vendors after they've moved, a Facebook group has been created named #GulfBreezeFleaMarket.

Another staple to Gulf Breeze is Mike's Garden, a popular nursery located at the corner of Hwy 98 and the Garcon Point Bridge entrance.

Mike Robertson, the owner has been at this location for 32 years and is now ready to retire. After the decision was made to retire, the property was put up for sale and the near 2-acre site has been sold.

Although a Hotel Developer has purchased the property, set to close on December 13th, the hotel chain is unknown as of this date.
